This is our robot Soundwave he was made in Pancevo, at the ETŠ "Nikola Tesla". He came to tell the history of Pančevo. His favorite subject is the church with two towers, "Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary".

  • History of the Church of the Assumption in Pancevo The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in the period from 1807 to 1810. Today, this building is under state protection as a cultural monument in the category of immovable cultural assets of great importance. The Assumption Church in Pančevo was built with the help of benefactors, among whom was Đorđe Petrović Karađorđe, the leader of the First Serbian Uprising. The church was built with voluntary contributions from benefactors, among whom was Karađorđe Petrović The western facade is dominated by a luxurious portal framed by two tall elongated belfries. The authors of one of the most representative woodcarving works of Serbian classicism are the Janić brothers from Arad. The plaster works were carried out by Andrej Schneidinger from Titel.
